Western North Carolina...I  know I could spend the rest of my life photographing the diversity of wildflowers, trees, mountain vistas, and wildlife and still not be able to capture all the beauty that nature has provided in this one small area of the world.

I consider myself very fortunate to be able to call Graham County my home.  There are not many places left on earth where one can find the beauty, serenity and privacy that can be found in this remote area of Western North Carolina.  My husband Charles and I have lived here for 28 years and have come to love and value the quality of  the  life we have made here.   

The Appalachian Mountains in the southwestern corner of  North Carolina offer some of the most breathtakingly beautiful scenery to be found. We are located in the middle of the Nantahala National Forest - within an hour of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, the Appalachian Trail, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Cherohala Skyway, and the Slickrock Wilderness Area. Rivers, streams, waterfalls, and beautiful mountain vistas are around every corner.
